In the Depths of the School Holidays

I love the school holidays!

  • Not having to wake up early (although the kids are yet to get that memo),
  • No longer having to rush around in the mornings to beat the school bell,
  • Not having to make the school/kindy lunch boxes with their various dietary requirements,
  • Not having to wash the school uniform when it comes home muddy (think I should probably buy a second set…)

Best of all, I love seeing how much my little people have grown and changed since the last school holidays, because man, it happens quick these days!

The flip side of this coin, (as there is always one!), is that running a business from home is soo much harder with little people in the house. Every other day we get out of the house and do something together. Auckland Zoo in the pouring rain so far has been my favourite! We are now spending a few days at the beach with family – definitely a favourite too.

I would love to hear from you about what you are doing to amuse your little people during your school holidays?

Fun times at the beach!

Although my question is, at what point do children start to amuse themselves for more then a few moments? I am on no rush for them to grow up, but I do sometimes feel that there are some things they are charging ahead with and others they just refuse to progress with.

Needless to say, that for the time being you won’t hear much for me during the school holidays while I work on the balancing act of parenting.

We will be taking our new Little Red Riding Hood range to the at the Devonport Craft Market on Sunday 9 October from 10am – 2pm so make sure you come along and say hi! 🙂

I shall sign off for now. Stay in touch and let me know what you are up to this school holidays?

Take care!
